The colours, they are a turning up in the highlands of Cape Breton.

A brief return of summer, sunlight streaming around every mountainous corner, we hiked, searched for moose and enjoyed a blast of fresh highland air.

The bog trail in National Park where all the moose meet-up for poker and a pint.
Delicate ecosystem and earthy wind-whipped bog grasses.
Through the trees there is light.
